The pump you have configured is a VG10PVS-M
The
"PVS" pump combination of materials of construction
is similar to the XVS except that each cast stainless piece
is 316 stainless steel, not 304. The PVS has Vooner’s
standard VaneGard® stainless steel rotor, but of 316 stainless
steel to protect airflow for the long term. Cast solid 316
stainless steel cones match the long life of the rotor for
even longer pump life. A 316 stainless steel shaft gives extra
corrosion protection for extended life under the packing rings
and ease of maintenance at the hub end.
For additional internal erosion wear protection and longer
life, 316 stainless steel wear plates have been added for
eXtra Value, XV to the wetted surface of the cast iron heads.
The housing is also of cast 316 stainless steel for erosion
wear protection in the case of small solids in the seal water.
It outlasts a 304 casting of the XVS pump if pitting corrosion
is probable and far outlasts a cast iron housing of the XVC
pump.
